Our Origin

In the year 1996, a noble vision was born in the heart of Shree Janak Chandra Surishwar Ji Maharaj, a visionary and compassionate soul. It all began within the sacred premises of Shree Jain Lal Mandir at Red Fort, a place steeped in spiritual significance. Shree Janak Chandra Surishwar Ji Maharaj harbored a deep love and reverence for all living beings, especially the winged inhabitants of our world.

His pious wish, to extend care and protection to the birds that frequented the vicinity, was not merely a desire but a divine command. It was this profound call to service that led to the inception of Shree Vijayanand Surishwar Jain Sewa Trust, an organization dedicated to the welfare of our feathered friends.

In the year 1996, the foundation stone for this noble endeavor was laid. With unwavering determination and the blessings of Shree Janak Chandra Surishwar Ji Maharaj, the construction of the trust's premises began. Within a span of two years, an identical replica of the Samadhi Mandir based in Gujranwala was successfully constructed in Shahdara, Delhi. On the 17th May 1998, the consecrated temple and the avian bird hospital were solemnly inaugurated by Shri Sahib Singh Verma, former chief minister of Delhi, in the presence of the gracious blessings of the esteemed spiritual gurus, Shri Nityanand Ji and Shri Dharmdhurendar Ji Maharaj Sahib.

As the trust grew and its reputation spread, it not only attracted an increasing number of bird species but also generous souls who wholeheartedly embraced its mission. These compassionate individuals recognized the importance of safeguarding our avian co-inhabitants, and their donations became a lifeline for the trust's operations.

The trust's commitment to its mission was unwavering. It offered vital services such as food and medicines to all kind of birds entirely free of cost. The word spread far and wide, ensuring that any bird in distress could find its way to the trust's hospital in a timely manner. The trust quickly became a real success, and its doors were open to all birds, regardless of their origins. Approx.. 2.25 Lakh bird have been set free after medication. Thousand of birds, due to heavy injuries by manjha are unable to fly and form to be part of Bird hospital family. The trust's efforts were nothing short of remarkable. In the outpatient department (OPD), an approximate number of 4.50 Lakh birds, sought medical attention. In emergencies, avian patients arrived from every corner of the city, emphasizing the trust's vital role in providing immediate care and healing.

The core ritual of treating and rehabilitating the birds, ultimately setting them free, continues to this day. It's a testament to the trust's enduring commitment to the welfare of these magnificent creatures and its unwavering dedication to the values set forth by Shree Janak Chandra Surishwar Ji Maharaj.
